Life truly is a journey, with unexpected twists and turns! Our exodus from California to Hawaii began with one horse, one goat, a 40’ Matson shipping container, two vehicles, and 14 months in a vintage yurt on the Hamakua Coast!
How did we do it? Why did we do it? And what happened after our 14 months of living in 450 not-so-square feet? You’ll laugh, maybe you’ll shed a few tears, but you will definitely gain insight into our amazing and unexpected journey!
And here is an unpublished epilogue…Eight years ago, I became a Realtor®; in September, I had the privilege of listing the yurt property. Through the listing of a separate property in Papaaloa, I met a couple who seemed a perfect fit for the yurt property… and they are now in escrow, with a closing date just after Christmas! I had the honor of listing their property, also in Papaaloa property, which is also scheduled to close just after Christmas! Wow… it’s a very small world on a very large island.
