My spring cleaning came in the form or receiving a special gift…Please read on!
In showing a wonderful property in the Kalopa area of the Hamakua Coast, I zoned in on a really great vintage credenza in their covered lanai. I mentioned that it would be perfect in my living room and would they sell it to me when they moved? Every time I showed their property, about six times in total, and even went into escrow, we jokingly discussed the credenza. I felt it was mine…but it really wasn’t!
Many months later, the seller sent me a text saying they were in escrow (with another agent, unfortunately), but “the credenza was mine if I wanted it!” They were giving it to me, saying I got an “A” for effort. Wow! Of course I said yes!
It weighed a ton, and can use a new paint job. But for the moment, it is in my living room…a perfect fit, just as I had envisioned. And this was the empetis for my spring cleaning, which included going through all closets and drawers, under the beds, plus the moving of various furniture to create new looks in each room! A trip to the Salvation Army and Gather Hawaii, both in Honokaa, sent my “no longer needed” items to potential new homes. And it felt great.
Is it time for spring cleaning in your home???
