My wonderful Veterinarian, Dr. Jackie Pickerell at Aina Hou Animal Hospital, referred Daniela Araki to me. Daniela works at the vet hospital, and at the time of the referral, she and her daughter Syenna were living in a rented condo in Waimea Monday through Friday so she could attend Hawaii Preparatory Academy (HPA). Husband and father David works in Kailua-Kona as a police officer, and that’s over an hour’s drive south to the family’s home in Captain Cook.
This is the story of how the Araki family was reunited after so much time apart.
