.. and my most unusual Christmas gift!
If the end of your journey finds you owning or renting a property that is off grid, you may be interested in the most unusual gift I received this Christmas! We live completely off-grid which includes a very vintage cesspool located a football field down slope from our 45-year old home. And, conveniently located under a huge slab of concrete! Not easily accessible, to say the least.
With all this in mind, we tend to monitor what is flushed down our three toilets…with the sole purpose of never having to dig up our cesspool! So, when friends and family come for an extended visit, hubby Pat hands them the Off-Grid Instruction Sheet which, in addition to other important functions of our home, includes instructions regarding the proper use of the toilet.
My daughter and family have experienced this many times over the past 10 years. So, this Christmas she gave us, not one, but two playfully creative acrylic signs that explain what should and should not go down the pipes! I love the part at the end which reminds all users to not flush your hopes and dreams. So creative!
